Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at installing the Curt Universal Trailer Wiring Harness on a 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLC 300. Now right out the gate, I will recommend potentially picking up a different kit and reason being is this doesn't come with all of the parts that you need. You will need to pick up a fuse holder, a fuse, butt connectors, as well as ring terminals and a power wire to get this one to work. And that's because this kit does not include all of that, but there is a universal kit that does encompass all of that, allowing you to get your install done with that one package. Now I will point out, if your vehicle is the premium or premier package, the universal kit is gonna be the only one that works with this. But if you don't have that package, you're actually in luck. more

Hi there, Mercedes owners. Today in your 2017 Mercedes GLS 450, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Tekonsha ZCI 4-pole flat trailer connector wiring system. And this is what our harness looks like when it's installed. It is designed to live inside the vehicle. So when you use it, you'll simply pinch it between the lift gate here at the back and it will drape down and then you'll hook up to your trailer and head on your way. Our 4-pole connector here is gonna provide us with all of our necessary lighting signals, which includes our left turn signal, right turn signal, tail lamps, and brake lamps which will keep us DOT compliant in all states. more

Hey, everybody. How's it going Today, we're going to be going over, and showing you how to install the Tekonsha ZCI trailer wiring harness here on our 2016 Mercedes Benz GLA. So our trailer wiring harness, simply put, is going to transfer the signals from our vehicle to our trailer, so we can let other motorists out on the road know what signals we're going to be making, allowing us to arrive to our destination safe and sound. A lot of the times in camping trailers are actually going to block the taillights on the vehicle, which is why you need a way to transfer these signals. It's also a legal requirement in every state. So this kit here comes with a four way flat trailer connector, also referred to as a four pole trailer connector. more

Hey, everybody. How's it going Today, we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the CURT trailer wiring harness here on our 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLC. So this trailer wiring harness here is gonna be one of the required things we need to tow a trailer with our GLC. In addition to this, you're gonna need a trailer hitch and a ball mount/hitch ball, which we offer here at etrailer. So simply put, a trailer wiring harness is gonna transfer the signals from the vehicle to our trailer, so we can let other motorists out on the road know what signals we're gonna be making. Now, this is a legal requirement in pretty much every state, and it's also gonna be great for safety. more

Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Tekonsha ZCI Vehicle Wiring Harness, on our 2014 Mercedes-Benz GL-Class. So, there's something that is pretty cool about this setup, is the fact that we can store our wiring inside. That way when we're not using it, it's not gonna be out in the elements and you're not gonna be able to notice it. So whenever you are ready to use it, you can open up your storage latch there, drape it out over the bumper and hook up to your trailer. Now, this is designed to be closed in that hatch, so you're not gonna have to worry about damaging it or anything, as long as you're on the weather stripping and away from the latch. more

Hi there Mercedes owners. Today in your 2017, Mercedes GLE 50, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install Tekonsha's ZCI spliceless wiring system. On your Mercedes, your wiring's designed to live inside the vehicle and it will store inside the compartment over here on your passenger side, you can just bundle it up and when you're ready to use it, just pull it out of the compartment and let it drape out the back. You don't want to hit the striker here in the middle, but anywhere along the weather strip along the back here is just fine. It'll pinch it and won't cause any damage. It's just that striker that could potentially cause an issue, so just avoid that. more

Today you're going to be taking a look at, I'm going to walk you through the installation on the Tekonsha ZCI wiring kit for your 2016 Mercedes Benz Metris.This wiring kit, the nice thing about it and what separates it from others is we don't have to tap into any factory wiring. It basically is going to come with plugs that or brackets that what you do is you lay the wire inside of it. You clip it over the top and it reads the signal running through it. We don't have to splice into anything. The wiring's going to give you all of the proper lighting functions you need to pull a trailer so that you're safe and legal. more

Today, on this 2017 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500, we're going to review the T1 Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, part number, 118649.All right, this is what our wiring harness looks like when it's installed on our Sprinter van. You notice all you can see, of course, it's going to be a 4-Pole Wire Harness, with a built-in cover. That it goes on when you're not using it, and it protects it. Then when you wire up your van to pull a trailer, you definitely want to use a module such as this. What the module does, it actually uses battery power, and then it copies the signal from the turn signals and the brake signal and running lights and uses battery power, to power the lights on the trailer. So if your trailer has any problems with it all, the box actually protects the vehicle from the trailer, from any shorts.Now our wire harness is designed to plug into the factory taillights and the sockets behind them. more

Speaker 1: Today in this 2011 Mercedes Benz Sprinter we'll be having a look at and showing you how to install the Tekonsha T one vehicle wiring harness with a four pole flat trailer connector, part number 118650. Here's what a wiring looks like installed. The reason you're gonna want a four pole wiring harness like this on your Sprinter is so that you can safely and legally tow a trailer and have all the necessary lighting functions that are required by law. Our green wire is for our right turn signal and our right brake light. Our yellow wire is for our left turn signal and left brake light. And on those wires, we have a total power output of five amps, which is more than sufficient to have a small trailer or even a medium sized trailer with two or three incandescent bulbs per side or as many LED lights as we want because they do draw less power. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Mercedes Benz GLC 300 we're gonna be showing you how to install the upgraded Modulite Vehicle Wiring Harness Kit with the four pole flat trailer connector, part number is 119147KIT.Now our four pole wire, it's gonna stay inside of the back of the vehicle until we need it. When we do we want to run it over, you see that weather stripping there is gonna give us some cushion just like that, draw up whatever length you need, and then you can close your hatch, it'll be ready to connect. When not in use I like to roll it up, we can tuck it under the storage area here, just gonna loop it back and forth on itself and our dust cover's not really gonna keep any dust off inside the car, but it can be used to go around our wiring and keep it kind of bundled up. We can tuck it right over here into this cubby hole, never have to worry about it until we needed it and pull it out and put it to use.To begin our installation we're gonna gain access into the rear areas here so we're gonna lift this up, we'll use the hook to hold it up and out of the way for us. Then you'll see at the clip you're gonna have a metal rod that runs down and holds this panel into place or this mesh into place. We'll push in towards the outside of the car then we can just lift up on that slightly and see we'll be able to rotate that up and out of the way and we'll take our screwdriver, we'll need to pop this panel up, it'll allow us to release that. more

Today on our 2016 Mercedes Benz Sprinter 3500, we're going to be taking a look at and also showing you how to install the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with the 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector. The part number is 118649. Now, this is what our kit is going to look like. This kit is going to offer us a direct plugin solution to get a working 4-pole trailer connector at the rear of our vehicle. The 4-pole connector is going to give you right turn and brake, it's going to give you left turn and brake, and it's going to give you your running light signal, also a ground to make sure all of our lights work. Now, the way this system works is we have a module box. This is going to take signal from behind the driver's side tail light and from behind the passenger's side tail light housing, and it converts it into a usable signal for our trailer. more

Traile Wiring Harness Installation - 2010 Mercedes-Benz-GL-Class- Video
Today on our 2010 Mercedes GL450, we'll be installing the Tow Ready ModuLite wiring harness with trailer pigtail, part number 119192. To begin our install, we'll first remove the driver and passenger side interior trim panels. Here on the passenger side, we'll simply turn the securing knob, unlocking it, pulling the panel out, and setting it aside. On driver side, we'll turn the knob, remove the door, then we'll need to remove the interior compartment. To do this we'll unlock both fasteners and then pull up and out on the box at the same time releasing it from any other points that secure it. Now on both sides, we can gain access to the manufacturers taillight wiring. Next, we'll need to test the wiring so that we can locate the circuits for our running lights, brake signal, and turn signals as this is considered a 3-wire taillight system where each circuit is independent from each other. To test out lights, we're going to go ahead and remove the connector from the back of the housing. more
